The I-TECH Ribbon control is built around the same high speed color camera found with the Register camera. It has an on-board DSP for fast image analysis and network communication. It also uses Pure White Xenon light, for best imaging results and critically important for dirty or recycled stock. The system is extremely reliable as it shares the same design goals of running within a news printing environment.

The camera normally installs anywhere on the ribbon deck unit for ultra fast response with tight fold and cut controls. It is designed with optics to handle unsupported web flutters. It has an integrated air curtain to protect against dust particles common in the ribbon deck area.
